SUMMARY: Assists with remote sales development calls and processes for a territory or portfolio of customers. Coordinates with field sales team members to understand customers' unique needs and potential sales opportunities. Initiates customer calls to promote new and existing products and services, offer special discounts and promotions, or provide essential account management services. Provides product information to meet customers' needs, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. Completes routine support tasks to process renewals or sales. A critical component of this position is communicating in a positive and supportive manner with a sense of urgency while projecting a positive attitude. This position is also responsible for basic sourcing.
POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Inside sales order processing
  • Account management
  • Once an order is received, the order must be confirmed to the customer and sales representatives.
  • All orders must be processed promptly.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls within two-three rings.
  • Must be able to support three or more outside sales representatives.  
  • Research products.
  • Prepare quotes for customers and sales representatives.
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by going above and beyond.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • The ability to accurately read various types of documents is necessary to do the job.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
  • Self-starter to stay busy.
  • Take direction and work closely with supervisors to develop positive relationships.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, primarily Microsoft Office Products and Outlook.
  • Packaging knowledge preferred.


    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with customers in a similar environment
