SUMMARY: The Warehouse Material Handler is primarily responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials and products within the facility. This includes tasks such as receiving and unloading items from delivery trucks, stocking racks, retrieving items for orders, packaging goods for shipment, and maintaining inventory records. The Material Handler also utilizes equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, or conveyors to move materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate has a moderate understanding of warehouse operations, is detail-oriented, and follows established procedures and instructions to complete daily tasks safely and effectively

POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles.
  • Move products to appropriate storage areas using forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment
  • Accurately picking orders for shipment according to company standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE
  • Inspect materials for damage and verify shipment accuracy.
  • Report any damaged or missing items to supervisors immediately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Follow instructions and standard operating procedures for handling materials.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding task completion and any issues encountered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • The ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification a plus)
  • The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse practices and procedures.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work under the close direction of senior personnel.
  • Self-starter to stay busy.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and data.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Education or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of general work experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.

  • English
